June 2007 Report

June was another quiet month for the horses. The Preserve and Abaco received a great deal of much needed rain. Work on the stallion area was slowed down but it is good to see small water holes brim full again.
Along with rain came some spectacular lightning. Our electric fence is well grounded but a tree holding some isolators was struck and the signal light on the fence charger was knocked out. The unit itself is still working.
No new developments on our possible pregnancies. We have health check ups scheduled for late fall.
To show how much health progress the horses have made here are some before and after photos of hooves. The top two photos are from several years ago, the bottom two photos were taken last week. |
